Erika Lauren Wasilewski, known on-air simply as Erika Lauren, is a former American radio personality, singer-songwriter and former reality television set personality, known as a cast member on The Real Globe: D.C., the 23rd season of the long-running series, which aired from 2009 to 2010.[one] [2] [iii] She after became a co-host on The Alan Cox Prove, and as the atomic number 82 singer of the ring Hawkeye, released the LP Ruthless in 2013.

Erika Lauren Wasilewski is originally from Frankfort, Illinois where she attended Lincoln-Manner East high schoolhouse.
After high school, she began studying at Illinois Land University, just subsequently transferred to Columbia College Chicago to written report arts entertainment and media management with the intent of working in the radio industry. Wasilewski described her formative interest in the medium, saying, "I grew upwardly listening to WKSC-FM's DreX in the forenoon. I would exist laughing the whole time and thinking, Hey, I want to do that!"[4]

During her senior yr, Wasilewski responded to a casting phone call for the 23rd flavor MTV reality television program The Real World, which she viewed equally a mode to break into the entertainment manufacture. In her audition video, she described herself as a "rock 'n' roll singer-songwriter with a little flake of sass." There's no style to fix for that invasion of privacy."[4]

In July 2009, Shabooty reported that Wasilewski falsely claimed to take been diagnosed with cancer following a breakup with her swain, as a plea for attending, and according to her ex-swain Billy, spent ix months maintaining this lie.[10] [11] When interviewed by TimeOut, Wasilewski confirmed the report, saying, "Um, there is some truth to what you're hearing. Yep, it happened. Aye, I regret it. If I could take information technology back, I would. I was going through some severe emotional issues at the time. I was lashing out and craving attention wherever I could."[11]
POTS diagnosis [edit]
In 2018, Wasilewski revealed she was diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, or POTS, later on which she was absent from her position at WMMS for several months.[iv]
